Dr. Marinka Twilt is a Full Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. Research Focus

Dr. Twilt’s work advances care for children with rheumatic and immune-mediated diseases. Her research includes imaging and clinical studies of temporomandibular joint inflammation in rheumatic disease, where contrast-enhanced MRI can help distinguish active inflammation from structural damage.

She also contributes to complex immune dysregulation research and care, including approaches that use genetic and functional testing to support patients with rare immune-mediated disorders.
