Matt is going into his fourth year of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Calgary. In Fall 2025, he joined the Pediatric MSK Imaging Lab, where he works on pediatric bone imaging and micro–finite element analysis using tools such as FAIM, N88, ARC, Python, and Jupyter Notebook. In addition to his µFE work, he contributes to 3D printing projects involving bone models.

As part of his biomedical engineering project work, Matt also helped develop a proof-of-concept upper-limb rehabilitation device that integrates sEMG, motion sensing, camera-based elbow-angle tracking, and real-time feedback to guide biceps rehabilitation exercises. Outside of the lab, Matt is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys playing board games.
